The kettle has a push button which opens the hinged lid at a near 90 degree angle. The push button is located on the handle so that your thumb can easily press it whilst you're holding the kettle. This results in the kettle being easy to fill. The lid is pictured below:
The 360 degree base which comes with the kettle is convenient for both left and right handed users. The base also has integrated cord storage underneath, and non-slip feet for extra security.
