Style wise the Signature Kettle is very much modern. Its sleek curves, elegantly integrated water window and neatly presented temperature controls demonstrate that. The chrome details on the base, spout and handle help bring the design together. Cuisinart have gone a long way to match this kettle to most kitchens, as the kettle is available in four colours. These are stainless steel (pictured in this review), light pistachio (very light turquoise), frosted pearl silver (very light silver) and vintage rose (very light pink).

Variable Temperature Control

As mentioned above, the kettle has variable temperature control. The controls themselves are on top of the handle for easy access. There's also an LCD temperature display. They allow for a range of temperatures between 85C and 100C.

Such a wide selection of temperatures will suit most requirements. For example, green tea is best boiled at 85C, whereas black tea is best at 100C. Coffee on the other hand is more suitable for a 90C boil for the best flavour. This kettle is therefore perfect for coffee and tea enthusiasts.

• Internal Cord Storage - There's space underneath the base to coil excess electrical wire. This will minimise clutter on your worktop.
• Concealed Heating Element - The heating element is concealed underneath the floor of the kettle. This not only looks more visually appealing, but it will extend the lifespan of the kettle due to reduced limescale damage.
• Boil Dry Protection - The kettle has a sensor which detects when the water level is less than sufficient, and it will shut the kettle off accordingly.

Our View

From the above, we're left with an overall strong impression of the Cuisinart Signature Kettle. Its style is simply elegant, with well positioned curves and a fair use of chrome accents on the base, spout and handle. But what really pushes this kettle into premium top tier territory, is the variable temperature controls. Such control over water temperature is essential if you're into brewing herbal teas and different kinds of coffee. Overall, we rate the Signature Kettle 4.5 out of 5 stars.
