The Russell Hobbs 24361 Inspire Electric Kettle is a unique take on the modern kettle. Featuring a completely removable lid as well as a stylish outer pattern, this kettle is a glamorous addition to the kitchen. It is also a performance oriented kettle - it can boil 1 cup (approximately 235ml) in 45 seconds. Therefore it's perfect if you're in a rush before work and desperately need a quick cup of tea.

Style

As well as its interesting textured horizontal stripe design, it sports a smart glossy black finish. There is also the option of having the kettle in red, grey, cream or white. The Inspire Kettle has a number of chrome accents on it - the handle, the lid ring and the on switch most notably. There's also a chrome band around its circumference. In my opinion, the chrome band matches the red glossy kettle the best, followed closely by the black.

The fully removable lid is an interesting feature as most modern kettles have hinged lids. Not only is this convenient for filling, it's also extremely handy for cleaning the interior.

Another stand out feature of this kettle is the fact that the handle does not form a complete loop. This has the effect of making the water level indicator much easier to read.

• Capacity - 1.7 Litres (the same as most Russell Hobbs kettles).
• Perfect Pour Spout - This is another way of saying that the spout is designed in such a way so as to reduce spilling and splashing. Essentially, the water is concentrated in a streamlined flow.
• Illuminated Water Window - When switched on, the water chamber illuminates in a calming blue.
• Water Level Gauge - The exterior of the kettle has a water gauge with cup markings.
• Removable Lid - As mentioned above, the lid is completely removable which allows for easy filling and cleaning.
• 360 Degree Base - The base of the kettle is a 360 degree circle, allowing the kettle to be placed on it in any position.
• Cord Storage - The base has integrated cord storage.

Energy Saving Rapid Boil Zone

The rapid boil zone inside of the kettle allows you to measure 1, 2 or 3 cups exactly, therefore allowing you to boil only what you need. This has the effect of faster boil times, and it also saves energy as the kettle is not boiling unnecessarily.

Water Filter

The spout contains a removable and washable filter (pictured below). The filter is primarily for catching limescale, but it's also capable of trapping impurities in the water.
