The T10038B Kettle is shorter than most kettles, giving a neatly compact design. The bottom of the kettle angles inwards with a textured diamond effect, making the kettle look rounder. The exterior of the kettle is black and glossy. The kettle has a rose gold band around the body and a rose gold cylinder on top of the lid to complete the style. In fact, those small rose gold details add a lot to the overall look.

Specification

Now we will look at the features in greater detail:

• Capacity - 1.5 Litres, around 6 cups. A slightly lower capacity that most kettles, but this is the price paid for a smaller and more compact design.
• Dimensions - 15.0cm x 23.0cm x 22.5cm.
• Water Level Indicator - There's a water level indicator marking 0.5L (minimum), 0.75L, 1.0L, 1.25L and 1.5L (maximum). Interestingly, unlike most kettles, the indicator is written on the black exterior next to the water window, rather than on the water window itself. This gives you a better view of the inside of the kettle.
• Boiling Indicator - When the kettle is boiling, its power switch will illuminate.
• Push Button Lid - On top of the handle is an ergonomically placed button. If you press it (with your thumb while holding it), the lid will open and the kettle can easily be filled.
• 360 Degree Swivel Base - The kettle is cordless and as such boils on a base. The base is such that the kettle can be placed at any position on it. This allows for easily lifting and placing back down. It may not seem much, but if you're a keen hot drink maker then this will make your life much easier.
• Cord Storage - The underneath of the base has space to store any excess electrical wires.
• Safety - The kettle has two main safety features, namely boil dry protection and automatically switch off. Essentially, the kettle will not boil if there's no water inside and will turn off by itself if it gets to that stage. Also, once the water's up to temperature the kettle will stop boiling.

Our Opinion

The Tower T10038B Kettle impresses on both the functionality and style front. The glossy black design with rose gold accents makes the kettle suitable for classic and contemporary kitchens. The features are extensive and make the process of making tea even easier. We particularly like how the kettle is shorter and more compact than most. We rate the kettle 4 out of 5 stars.
