At the top of our list is the Russell Hobbs 20760-10 Glass Kettle. It has a 1.5 litre capacity - 1 litre boil capacity and a 0.5 litre hopper capacity. It has a modern style with a beautiful large glass water window which illuminates blue when boiling, polished stainless steel accents and a large black plastic handle. It has an in-built BRITA filtration system which successfully removes impurities from the water. The BRITA filter system permanently absorbs any copper or lead that may be present in the water.
It's also a rapid boil kettle, with a powerful 3kW heating element. It has many of the features expected from modern kettles, including a concealed heating element to extend its working life, a perfect pour spout to reduce dripping on worktops, a convenient 360 degree swivel base to allow the kettle to be placed down with ease, and a button controlled flip top lid. Third on our list is the Breville BRITA HotCup Hot Water Dispenser. Whilst technically not a kettle, it may be of interest, so we include it here. It has a 1.8 litre capacity, working out to roughly 7-9 cups. It's a modern dispenser with a silver/black design, a large water window and a polished stainless steel finish. When boiling, the water tank will illuminate blue.
One feature we particularly like is how the dispenser's filtration system works whilst it's boiling. As a consequence it can boil 1 cup in under 50 seconds. Limescale, chlorine, etc, will be filtered from the water. A cup of water can be dispensed with the touch of a button, although there are 9 pre-set cup sizes to choose from. The filling cycle can be terminated through the use of a manual stop button. These features allow the Breville HotCup Dispenser to be used in an energy efficient manner.
