The Russell Hobbs 20760-10 Brita Purity Glass Kettle is kitchen must have for those who love their drinks clear of impurities. The Brita Purity Kettle has an inbuilt BRITA filter system which removes the impurities, therefore making drinks look cleaner and allowing the full flavour to come through.

To top everything off, the kettle has a large glass water window, giving it a contemporary look and allowing you to see your clean water boiling. Together with the steel bands around the top and bottom, the kettle looks rather smart and would certainly match the style found in most modern kitchens.

BRITA Maxtra+ Filter

The kettle is designed with an integrated BRITA Maxtra+ filter system. Using the system is as simple as inserting a BRITA Maxtra+ cartridge. The system does the following:

• Absorbs Copper and Lead - Traces of Copper and lead are absorbed into the filter.
• Reduces Limescale - Not only is limescale filtered, the Maxtra+ filter reduces the build up of limescale.
• Reduces Chlorine.

In detail, here are some of the feature of the kettle:

• Capacity - The kettle has a total capacity of 1.5 Litres. The boil capacity is 1 litre at a time (approximately 4 cups). The hopper adds an additional 0.5 litres.
• Glass - The glass water window is very large. It makes the kettle look almost futuristic. A great touch in my opinion.
• Energy Saving - The kettle allows a minimum boil of one cup. This results in both a faster boil and more energy saved, which in turn leads to a lower energy bill.
• Cartridge Reminder - The kettle will notify you when the BRITA Maxtra+ cartridge needs replacing. The cartridge itself is fully recyclable.
• Illumination - When switched on, the inside of the kettle illuminates in a calming blue colour.
• Boil Dry Protection - If all of the water inside the kettle evaporates then the kettle will switch itself off.
• Rapid Boil - The 3000W power allows the kettle to rapidly boil.
• Perfect Pour Spout - The spout is specifically designed to reduce water splashing and spilling on work surfaces.
• Concealed Heating Element - The heating element is concealed at the bottom of the kettle. It is therefore easier to clean the inside.
• Cord Storage - Excess cord stores neatly into the base, therefore keeping your kitchen surfaces neat and tidy.

Recommendation

Overall, the Russell Hobbs Brita Purity Glass Kettle is a great kettle, and certainly the best kettle available which makes use of BRITA Maxtra+ cartridges in my view. The glass container is also a great touch. This kettle would definitely suit a modern kitchen.
