The BLACK+DECKER Electric Kettle is a cordless, rapid boil, electric kettle with a capacity of 1.7 litres. So far as design goes, it's lightweight and compact, ensuring an easy pour. One feature we particularly like is the rapid boil zone which consists of three bright red internal markers, denoting the water level for 1 cup, 2 cups and 3 cups. Such markers allow you to fill the kettle with the exact amount of water required, therefore saving energy and money.

We like the kettle's locking lid which ensures safety. The kettle's other features are mostly standard - there's a removable/washable limescale filter for better looking and tasting drinks, a 360 degree base for convenience, a power indicator light and boil dry protection for safety.

Summary

The BLACK+DECKER Electric Kettle is a good product overall. It has a minimalistic style, suiting both modern and classic kitchen set ups. We particularly like the idea behind and execution of the rapid boil zone markers, as well as the safety locking lid and the removable/washable limescale filter for better drink quality.
