Drew & Cole Redikettle Review

The Drew & Cole Redikettle is a functional and stylish modern kettle with five precise in-built temperature settings. These are 60C, 70C, 80C, 90C and 100C. Continuing on the temperature control theme, the kettle is equipped with the ability to retain the selected temperature for up to 4 hours. In addition, the kettle also has many of the standard features expected from modern kettles, including energy efficiency, boil dry protection, etc.

The kettle is well constructed. The shape starts off straight at the bottom, but narrows towards the top. It's available in five colours - black, charcoal (pictured), chrome, red and white. At least one of the designs is bound to look good in most kitchens. The slanted handle is of particular interest as it facilitates easy pouring.

Variable Temperature Control

There are five temperature settings on offer. These are 60C, 70C, 80C, 90C and 100C. Such a wide variety of temperatures give you more than adequate control over the temperature of your drinks. A few practical examples are in the below image. As you can see, hot chocolate and green tea are best served at lower temperatures, whereas regular tea and herbal tea brew better at higher temperatures.

Keep Warm Functionality

To top everything off, the Redikettle offers keep warm functionality which essentially means that the kettle will keep the water at temperature for up to four hours after boiling. This is perfect if you get distracted for whatever reason, or want to prepare for friends coming over.

All in all, the Drew & Cole Redikettle is a strong kettle. It has an excellent selection of temperatures, starting from 60C and increasing in increments of 10C up to 100C, which allows it to boil water to the ideal temperature of a huge selection of hot drinks. And as a bonus, the keep warm functionality will work for up to 4 hours to keep the water at a high temperature. Overall, we rate this kettle 4 out of 5 stars.
