The Morphy Richards Stainless Steel Kettle is top notch stainless steel jug kettle with features such a rapid boiling, a see through water window, power switch illumination, a robust limescale filter, and more. It's a minimalistic kettle perfect for the home or office kitchen. It also has a low centre of gravity which makes pouring much easier.

The kettle is available in four colours. These are black, silver (pictured), red and cream. We particularly like the silver one, but others will look better depending on the colour scheme of your kitchen. We find that the black plastic details on the handle and lid bring the design together, particularly on the red model.

• Rapid Boil - This kettle has been specifically designed to boil water quickly. This is achieved through the use of a 3kW heating element.
• Easy Open Lid - The lid is opened by a button placed on the handle where your thumb can reach when holding the handle. This allows for easy one handed filling.
• Illuminating Switch - For added effect, the on/off switch will illuminate when the kettle's in boil mode.
• 360 Degree Base - For convenience, the base has been designed so that the kettle rests on it, and can do so at any angle. You can therefore pick the kettle up and put it down easily. One advantage of such a base is that left and right handed people can use it without problems.
• Cord Storage - Excess power wires can be neatly tucked away under the base.
• Boil Dry Protection - The kettle is designed to not boil dry. Such a situation may happen if the kettle is accidentally turned on without water in. No need to worry about damage, however, as the boil dry protection will kick in and turn the heating element off.

Limescale Filter

As you can see in the below picture, there's a removable limescale filter. Filters are a must have for the majority of the UK where the water is very hard, i.e. full of minerals which cause limescale to form. The filter in this kettle can be rinsed under the tap and easily reinstalled.

Water Window

The kettle has a translucent water window on the side. It marks 3 cups, 4 cups, 6 cups and the 1.7 litre maximum. It's pictured below:
