Featuring quiet boil technology, the kettle is up to 70% quieter when tested against other Russell Hobbs kettles without the technology. It also features rapid boil technology - 1 cup (235ml) can be boiled in 45 seconds.

Style

The Legacy Kettle's design is inspired by the original 1955 K1 kettle, although its triangular pyramid shape with large circle handle over the top makes it look somewhat futuristic.

It also features a completely removable lid. This is in stark contrast to modern hinged lids.

The Legacy Kettle has the following main features:

• Capacity - 1.7 Litres (approximately 7 cups).
• Quiet Boil Technology - As mentioned above, the kettle is up to 70% quieter than other Russell Hobbs kettles without the feature.
• Rapid Boil Zone - The rapid boil zone allows for precise amounts of water to be boiled. This has two advantages. Firstly, your boiled water will be ready extremely quickly. Secondly, boiling only what you need results in a lower electricity bill.
• Concealed Heating Element - The heating element is tucked away, allowing for easier access to the inside of the kettle. It helps with cleaning too.
• Perfect Pour Spout - The spout is designed to consolidate the water into a steady stream. This heavily reduces splashing or spilling.
• 360 Degree Base - The base allows the kettle to be placed at any angle on it. Great for kettles used by both left handed and right handed people.
• Boil Dry Protection - If the kettle has no water in, or boils away all of the water, then it will automatically shut off. This is a standard safety feature.

Water Filter

The kettle comes with a removable and washable filter which sits inside the spout. This filter removes impurities in the water such as limescale. It also improves the look of your tea and coffee.
