The Bosch TWK7S05GB Kettle is a modern kettle packed with features. Of particular note is the stainless steel interior, making the kettle perfect for those who prefer to not have a plastic interior. Other features are typical of those found in modern kettles, including a water gauge, cord storage, an illuminating power switch and a large capacity.

In terms of design, the kettle is compact, particularly when compared to most other kettles. The primary colours used are black and grey. The lid is flat, resulting in the design being rather sleek. The kettle has a sturdy black plastic circular handle. There's a band around the body of the kettle, adding to the aesthetics.

• Capacity - 1.7 Litres (6-7 cups). Definitely big enough for the whole family.
• Power - 2200W.
• Stainless Steel Interior - There are concerns with plastic kettles which range from taste issues to worry that boiling water leeches chemicals from the plastic. Since this kettle has a stainless steel interior, there are no such concerns.
• Fast Boil - In order to maximise the speed of your boil, the kettle can boil as low as 0.5 litres of water. This is particularly useful for when you're desperate for that final cup of tea or coffee before work.

• Push Button Lid - There's a conveniently placed push button on top of the handle which opens the lid at an upright 90 degree angle. This allows for easy filling as well as easy cleaning. Furthermore, the lid has a locking mechanism for extra safety.
• Cord Storage - To prevent excess cord from cluttering up your kitchen counter, the kettle can store the cord in the base.
• Illuminating On/Off Switch - When boiling, the power switch lights up.

Limescale Filter

As seen below, there's a limescale filter which slots in place behind the spout. This of course reduces the amount of limescale which would otherwise leave the kettle and go into your drink. As a result, your drink tastes less gritty, and is also more visually appealing. Limescale can be removed from the kettle with the usual de-scalers.

Water Level Indicator

Tucked neatly under the handle is a water level indicator. The markings are as follows: 0.5L (minimum), 1.0L, 1.5L and 1.7L (maximum). It's pictured below:

360 Degree Base

The TWK7S05GB Kettle has a 360 degree base. This means that the base has a circular component in the centre which the kettle can sit on at any angle. This is very useful, particularly if the kettle is going to be used by both left and right handers.

As a bonus, there are non-slip feet on the base.
