The Bosch TWK86103GB Styline Sensor Kettle is high end, premium kettle by Bosch, and given the amount of features present, it's not hard to see why. There's real innovation in this kettle, particularly on the temperature control side of things - it features four boiling thresholds from 70C to 100C, as well as keep warm functionality. This kettle is perfect for the modern kitchen.

From a design point of view, the kettle is sturdy which is evident from the sleekness and compactness of it. The kettle's wall is double layered, reinforcing the structure as well as providing additional safety. The underside of the handle is made from an anti-slip material.
We begin by looking at four features this kettle has that most others do not. These are temperature control, keep warm functionality, a double layered wall to insulate the water and prevent the outside from heating up, and the anti-slip soft handle.
Unlike most modern kettles, the Bosch Styline Sensor Kettle has temperature control. You may set the temperature to 70C, 80C, 90C or 100C. This is perfect if you make different drinks, because tea and coffee have different optimal temperatures, especially herbal teas.
There's an LED temperature display on the top of the kettle, showing when each temperature stage has been reached. It's pictured below:
The Sensor Kettle is equipped with keep warm functionality. When the water is boiled, it's able to keep the water at temperature for up to 30 minutes.
The kettle has a so called "cool wall". Essentially the wall of the kettle is double layered so that the outer layer doesn't become dangerously hot, as happens with most kettles.
The handle is more sophisticated than normal kettles in the sense that it's soft and is coated with an anti-slip material, thus making the pouring process more convenient.
We now look at the usual features which most modern kettles have:
The Sensor Kettle has a water level indicator gauge underneath the handle, allowing you to easily see how much water is inside. The markings are in both cups and litres, making it suitable for all purposes. For example, making tea would require cups, but boiling water for a cooking recipe may require litres. The indicator is pictured here:
The kettle has a removable and washable limescale filter. Such a filter is essential if you live in an area with hard water, i.e. most of the UK. It also helps extend the lifespan of the kettle.
To quickly reiterate, the Bosch Styline Sensor Kettle is a top of the range, premium kettle. It's packed with features not often found in kettles, making it innovative. We particularly liked the temperature management side of things. Being able to set the temperature is definitely a highlight, and the keep warm functionality only adds to this. Overall, we rate the Sensor Kettle 4.5 out of 5 stars.
