The Breville VKT143 New York Collection Kettle is a sleek and stylish kettle. It's themed around New York's iconic Manhattan skyline at night, in particular the tall dark skyscrapers with bright lit up windows. The base and water window light up white to mimic this. The premium, sleek design is inspired by the luxury of the Upper East Side. And to complete the look, Breville offer a matching toaster.

The exterior of the New York Collection Kettle is made from matt black stainless steel. There are black metal details on parts of the kettle. Other parts, such as the spout and lid, are made from plain stainless steel. The handle is made from black plastic for safety reasons.
Another feature worth mentioning is the lid release button is embedded into the handle and blends in well.
Breville are a small appliance brand which sell around the world. Originating from Sydney, Australia, they've become a household name and have a flair for designing high quality products. They also sell toasters, blenders, bread makers, waffle makers and more. What's particularly impressive is the wide range of Breville kettles available on the market.

There's a rear water gauge on the kettle. It marks from 3 cups up to the maximum of 8 cups, and illuminates a bright white when the kettle is boiling.

In our view, Breville have executed the design of the New York Collection Kettle well. The kettle certainly evokes a feeling of the spirit of New York. And on top of this, the kettle is well constructed and has the usual features which we've all come to expect from modern kettles. We give it a rating of 4.5 out of 5 stars.
