Dualit Lite Jug Kettle Review

The Dualit Lite Kettle is a modern electric jug kettle with a slight pyramid shaped design, a beautiful high gloss finish and fancy black trim. The kettle has quite a number of features, some of which are not found in every modern kettle. Some of the features are fast boiling, quiet boiling, dual water windows, a 360 degree base and a non-drip spout.

There are several interesting design choices. The first is an almost vertical soft grip handle. A consequence of the slanted design is that the handle is slightly angled and it's therefore easier to pour the kettle. There's also a lift off lid which allows for easy filling and cleaning.

The Dualit brand has been around since 1945. Since their founding they have continued to design innovative and high quality household products, and in particular kitchenware. They sell kettles, toasters, blenders, mixers, grinders and much more. They're definitely a safe bet when it comes to kitchen appliances.

• Capacity - 1.5 Litres. This is about 6 cups per boil, which is perfect for large families, busy offices, etc.
• Dimensions - 16.6cm x 22.2cm x 26.0cm.
• Fast Boil - The 2.4kW heating element gives a fast boil. Dualit tested the kettle and found that 2 full cups can be boiled in under 1 minute and 30 seconds.
• Quiet Boil - The kettle is designed to provide a quiet boil.
• Dual Water Window - There are two water windows, both of which are BPA free. One of them has cup markers, ranging from 1 cup to 5 cups and then the maximum water level.
• Soft Grip Handle - As mentioned above, the kettle has a soft handle to allow for a comfortable grip.
• Lift Off Lid - The easy grip lift off lid allows for easy cleaning and filling. It also looks lovely too.
• Non-Drip Spout - The spout has been precisely engineered so that it doesn't drip. Your worktops will be dry and the kettle will be safer as a result.
• 360 Degree Base - The kettle is cordless and instead gets its power from a base. The base is an all around 360 degree base, allowing for convenient lifting and placing. Perfect for left and right handed users.
• Concealed Heating Element - The heating element is underneath the base to prevent the water from touching it and therefore protecting against limescale damage.
• Boil Dry Protection - The kettle is protected against boiling when empty by a boil dry sensor. If empty, the heating element will be switched off automatically.

Summary

All things considered, the Dualit Lite Kettle is an excellent choice of kettle. Its design is quaint and charming, with a high gloss finish, black trim and compact slanted shape. It's also very functional with important features such a rapid boiling, quiet boiling, a soft grip handle, and a lift off lid. We particularly like the non-drip spout as it's a very useful feature to have. We rate the Dualit Lite Kettle 4.5 out of 5 stars.
