Let's talk a bit about the style. The kettle is available in two colours, namely creme (pictured) and azure blue. The body is almost pyramid shaped with a brown open bottom handle, a neat lift off lid and a reasonably large spout. These three vintage design elements give the kettle its retro feel.

In terms of features, this kettle is comparable to modern electric kettles. To name a few features, it has a fine mesh limescale filter, a water level indicator, a cordless design and a 360 degree base.

De'Longhi began in 1902 manufacturing small industrial components. • Three Level Safety Protection - 1. Automatic switch off when boiled. 2. Automatic switch off when lifted from the base. 3. Automatic switch off when the water level is insufficient.

In summary, the De'Longhi Vintage Icona Kettle is a great unit and its vintage/retro design would be most suitable in a classic kitchen, although it would certainly work in a contemporary kitchen too. It's functional with a fine mesh limescale filter, water level indicator, 360 degree base and more. Overall, we rate it 4.5 out of 5 stars.
