Salter Deco Collection Kettle Review

The Salter Deco Collection Kettle is a durable modern electric kettle with a glossy white (or black depending on the model) finish. It's glossy white almost all over, an exception being a smart stainless steel band around the bottom of it. The kettle has a compact and sturdy design with a large easy grip handle, flip top button controlled lid, illuminating power switch and automatic shut off.

The kettle is sold by Salter, a leading supplier of kitchen appliances and other such items. As well as kettles they sell toasters, microwaves, soup makers, mixers, bread bins, cutlery and more. They've been going since 1760 and have built a strong reputation over that time.

We now take a look at the features:

• Capacity - 1.7 Litres. This size of boil will serve about 6 to 8 cups. The kettle is therefore suitable for large families, gatherings with friends, etc.
• Dimensions - 22cm x 12cm x 24cm.
• Water Window - The kettle has a clear, translucent water window with overlaid gauge on the side. One major benefit of having the gauge on the side as opposed to the handle, is you can look through the water window without having your view obstructed by the handle.
• Push Button Lid - The lid can be opened with a simple push button on top of the handle. It's in reach of your thumb, so you can press the button whilst holding the handle.
• 360 Degree Base - The kettle is completely cordless, and is instead powered through the use of a 360 degree base. An advantage of having a 360 degree base is the suitability for left and right handers.
• Strix Controller - The kettle utilises an electrical Strix controller. This brand of controller is known for its durability and reliability.
• Automatic Shut Off - Once up to temperature, the kettle will switch itself off, giving you peace of mind.
