The Salter Iridescent Glass Kettle is a beautifully designed dual illumination glass kettle which will add a touch of style to your kitchen. From a practical stand point, the kettle has many features, including a limescale filter, a flip open lid, a conveniently placed power switch on the handle, a 360 degree base and numerous safety mechanisms.

Dual Illumination

The illumination through the glass is definitely the biggest selling point. The way it works is quite simple. The kettle will start with an illuminating ring of blue LEDs around the bottom of the glass. When the kettle is boiling a ring of red LEDs light up. And finally, once the kettle has boiled, the LEDs change back to blue.

Summary

Overall, the Salter Iridescent Glass Kettle is an excellent kettle. The two main features which shine through are the large glass water window and the dual blue/red illumination. They really make the design complete. The other features are mostly standard. You get the use of a fine mesh filter for better looking and tasting drinks, the convenience of a 360 degree base and a whole host of safety features. Overall, we rate this kettle 4 stars.
